Edward Bass is not just a well known and award-winning producer but he is now trying his creativity and experience as the man behind the camera as a director.
Producer Edward Bassis no longer just working as a producer but currently he is busy on his directorial debut with the movie Belle. Belle is about the story of the first female serial killer from the early 1900’s Belle Gunness. As for Edward Bass, he believes that the challenge really goes to the actress that will portray the role of Belle because when you check out the photos of this woman you’d see that she is not a very good looking woman as she’s quite tall and at around 200 pounds which is quite the opposite of the figure of seductive women of our times. But, he knows that there was really something about Belle Gunness that caught the attention of so many suitors in her time. She would lure them to visit her at her farm with all their life savings and there she would kill them and bury them or feed them to her pigs. Producer Edward Bass spent over a year just polishing up the script to make it convincing for the audience that this woman can really get this many suitors and kill them for money. He was able to do that with the help of Eva Mayer who helped in co-writing the script. The Belle farm is now owned by her family at La Port, Indiana.
After polishing up the script for his first directory movie, Edward Bass is excited for this movie and hopes it will win an award and the actress portraying the role of Belle Gunness would win and Oscar. It had been told that there are some actresses who have given hints about their interest to play the part of Belle and producer Edward Bass still has to decide which one would be best to play this role. The actresses that have shown interest are Renee Zellweger who is also from Norway, Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet and the beautiful Catherine Zeta-Jones. For sure whoever will get the part will be able to sell the story to the audience by having both the charm and the dark side of the first woman serial killer who killed over 40 people including her two husbands and children. There are still no news as to when the movie will be shown in cinemas.
